On August 6th, 2003, the Sisters were inducted into the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum Hall of Fame. With participation
from the Govenor of South Dakota, the Mayor of Sturgis, and the help of many board members and friends of the Museum, Executive
Director Pepper Massey-Swan organized a wonderful event which was hosted at the Spearfish Convention Center.
Before a large gathering of approximately 200 people, a breakfast meeting was held complete with the induction of nine
individuals who contributed in significant ways to the world of motorcycling. Indian Motorcycle Corporation's CEO, Frank
O'Connell, gave a rousing introduction complete with a ride-by (indoors of course) by an Indian Chief Terminator 3 bike
riden by Arnold's offcial stunt man. It turns out that virtually all the inductees had riden Indian bikes 'back in the
day'.
The Sisters were graciously introduced by an experienced woman rider, Barbara O'Connell, Frank's wife. So, shoulder
to shoulder with motorcycle greatness, I, acting as a mere messenger, told the story of the Sisters, their mission, and their
accomplishment.
